Even though concepts of inflation have survived for more than two decades, its realization in the early universe still remains open question. In the attempt on inflation model building, CMB can be one of most powerful tools to test inflation models. I shall discuss, however, that constraints on inflation models coming from CMB data alone is rather limited, and how important it is to use our particle theory knowledge to make most use of CMB data for the purpose of seeking realistic inflation models.
