The Energetic X-ray Imaging Survey Telescope (EXIST) is under study for implementation as the Black Hole Finder Probe in the Beyond Einstein Program. The unprecedented sensitivity and resolution of the all-sky, all-time survey enabled by the EXIST design concept would enable studies of black holes on all scales: from the first stellar BHs revealed in the GRBs produced in the collapse of massive PopIII stars, to the dormant super-massive BHs revealed by tidal disruption of stars in galactic nuclei. I give an overview of some of the BH science enabled by EXIST and describe the mission Reference Design, as well as ongoing Study, for its implementation as an Einstein Probe.
