In this presentation, the speaker will describe and demonstrate how
distributed searching, focused crawling, and subject-oriented browsing and searching can
be combined to build sophisticated portals.
ESN (Environmental Science Network) is a portal that the speaker has developed for OSTI
for use by DOE-EM program managers. ESN uses as its base the Explorer technology developed
for Los Alamos National Laboratory. |
