2150 feet underground lies the world's first operating nuclear waste
repository. Making scientific and technical data from this site available on the Internet
became a topic of discussion for the folks of WIPP, Sandia National Labs, and Los Alamos.
While a solution was developed, it became apparent that doing business over the Internet
was going to be part of our future.
What are some of the problems we are facing? How are they being addressed? What can you do
to help us solve them?
Small facilities with limited budgets are being required to take on greater roles in the
DOE world. Information security is at the forefront of the news today. Our ability and
willingness to deal with these questions are at issue. What can we do to manage the
challenge? |
