| Abstract: |
As content on intranets and public Web sites continues to grow
explosively, and as more people learn to publish to the Web, making sure that content is
findable by users is becoming increasingly urgent. Search and directory software is the
first line of defense against content chaos, but the effectiveness of these tools depends
not only on how they are used, but also in how Web pages are structured, tagged, and
published. Various commonly employed technologies can interfere with some search engines'
ability to find, index, and present content accurately. This session will provide a
multitude of tips and tricks for content findability. |
