International High-Energy Physics Technical Safety Forum

While steps to assure safety compliance are fairly well defined, determining appropriate steps for safety excellence provides a broad range of options, each with a particular cost and potential effectiveness. This talk will present a method used as SLAC called Accident Avoidance Analysis to assist in determining which programs and actions provide the best chance for highest safety benefit.
