LC02 Working Group 3

Linac and Beam Delivery Dynamics and Control
Beam Optics, Dynamics, and Tuning
Instrumentation, Control, and Feedback

Conveners: R. Assmann (CERN), K. Kubo (KEK), O. Napoly (CEA Saclay), P. Tenenbaum (SLAC)

Goals: Working Group 3 will discuss progress in the design of linacs and beam delivery systems which meet the stringent requirements of linear colliders, in  understanding the obstacles to high-luminosity performance at a proposed LC, and in the techniques and technology which is required to address these obstacles.  Particular areas of interest include:  progress and innovation on beam instrumentation for LC's; tuning algorithms and their fundamental limitations; sources and cures of time- varying instabilities; and general strategies for managing commissioning, startup, and operational interruptions.
