Payment Options

Although payment will be accepted on-site, advance payment of the Institute registration and event fees is strongly encouraged and will save you time at registration on the first day of the conferenceYou may pay by check, cash, traveler's check, or credit card (Visa or MasterCard only) at the on-site registration desk.

Fee Summary

Registration fee Includes conference attendance, lecture notes and coffee break refreshments.  The welcome reception, social hours and poster sessions are sponsored by Stanford University.  These events are free of charge for SSI attendees.

Please note:  Registration is not considered complete unless the registration fee is paid. 

Student: $225 if paid on or before July 5, 2006

Student late fee: $275 if paid after July 5, 2006

Non-student: $375 if paid on or before July 5, 2006

Non-student late fee: $450 if paid after July 5, 2006

Dinners: July 18, 24 and 27 SSI dinners will be held this year on July 18, 24 and 27. Student dinner ticket: $9

Non-student dinner ticket: $13

To Prepay by Personal Check, Institutional Check, Traveler's Check, or Money Order

Personal checks, institutional checks, traveler’s checks and money orders must be drawn, in US dollars, on a US bank and made payable to Stanford University.

Please print and fill out a copy of the Payment by Check: Order Form (PDF) for each participant, and send the form and the check to:

To Prepay by SECURE Credit Card Payment

We accept VISA and MasterCard credit cards. To pay by credit card you will be directed to a secure (https) order form managed by eCommerce@Stanford and VeriSign Corporation. The secure payment form for SLAC-sponsored conferences and events will display "Stanford Linear Accelerator Center" at the top. Under "Order Info", the Description area will include exactly what you have selected from the Payment Form below. The Total Amount will be the total amount when quantity is greater than one. A payment can be made for more than one attendee. At the on-site registration, PROOF OF PRIOR PAYMENT or payment of registration fees will be required.

Payment

Once you have entered all the credit card and billing information on the secure form, you will be asked to confirm the purchase. If you do, then an authorization will be requested from the financial network. If approval is forthcoming, then a receipt page will be displayed and you will receive an e-mail message. Please make sure that you enter your e-mail address correctly in the billing information section to make sure you get this notice. If someone else is paying for your registration fee, please send an email to SSI as to who the credit should go to.

Receipts contain the 12 character transaction ID

The displayed Receipt page will appear AFTER credit card payment has been authorized. The e-mail receipt will be sent AFTER credit card payment has been authorized. Please print and bring this receipt with you on the first day of registration.

Cancellations

Should you need to cancel, the transaction ID (12 characters) will be needed to credit your account. We can do a partial credit, should you pay for more than one person and someone has to cancel their attendance at the Institute.

** Payment by credit card requires billing address verification. Some participants with a billing address outside the United States have had difficulty with that step. If you do have difficulty completing the credit card transaction with a non-US billing address, then it is suggested that you pay applicable fees by check or cash. If you are unable to do that please fill out the manual credit card authorization form.**

For SLAC Participants Only

Please print out and fill out a copy of the Registration Transfer Request form (Excel Spreadsheet) to pay the SSI registration fee. This form can be used for SLAC department funds and STAP funds. Fill in your name and the account number to charge or note that you are using STAP funds. Once you have obtained the appropriate signatures, send this form to:

The registration fee is not considered a travel expense and cannot be processed on a Travel Expense Report. You may not use a SLAC purchase card to pay for this (or any) SLAC-sponsored conference. If you wish to pay for these, then please follow the payment instructions for paying by personal check, traveler's check, or money order or paying with a credit card.
