AbstractIn the recent years the MXAN code [1,2] has been applied to a wide number of XANES experiments, providing structural details on the metal site under study from both absolute and differential spectra. Some details on the computational procedure will be given, and applications will be reviewed about i) time-resolved XANES of photoinduced transient states [3], and ii) polarized XANES of protein single crystals [4].
