| Abstract | We present an overview of our lab activities on strong field High Harmonic Generation in Molecules. The symmetry of the molecular
electronic orbitals influences the amplitude and phase of the emitted high harmonics, as we show in calculations for N2 and CO2[1]. We
present experimental data using HHG on an aligned ensemble on N2
molecules. The phases are measured via referencing to argon high
harmonics. An amplitude minimum in the harmonics is related to a 180
degree phase jump in agreement with the theory. The understanding of
this process opens possibilities for attosecond pulse shaping.
