Farrel W. Lytle Award

Lytle Award — Nominations due August 15

The Farrel W. Lytle Award was established in 1998 by the SSRL Organization Executive Committee to promote important technical or scientific accomplishments in synchrotron radiation-based science and to foster collaboration and efficient use of beam time among users and staff at SSRL. The recipients recognized since 1998 include:

Award Eligibility & Nominations - The Lytle Award consists of a certificate and $1,000 (awardee names are added to a plaque displayed in the SSRL User Research Administration Office).

All SSRL users and staff are eligible for this award, but only nominations for individuals will be considered (group awards are not encouraged). Letters of nominations summarizing the individual's contributions and why they should be recognized through this award should include the candidate's name and contact information, as well as the nominator's contact information. Nominations must be submitted by August 15th via e-mail, regular mail or fax to:

All nominations will be reviewed and the recipient selected by members of the SSRL Users' Organization Executive Committee. The Award will be presented at the Annual Users' Meeting on October 16.
