FTP Your Paper

The following directory has been set up for Factories 2003 participants to FTP their final papers (including all source documents):

/afs/slac.stanford.edu/public/groups/techpubs/inbox/conferences/factories03

To access this FTP location from an ftp-enabled Web browser window:

  1. Direct your browser to: ftp://ftp.slac.stanford.edu/groups/techpubs/inbox/conferences/factories03
  2. Drag and drop files from your computer onto the browser window to download the files to the FTP space.

To access this FTP location from a Unix or telnet session:

  1. Type "ftp ftp.slac.stanford.edu" (without quotes)
  2. When prompted for name, answer with the word "anonymous" (without quotes)
  3. For password, enter your email address (for example, wrnrp@slac.stanford.edu)
  4. Change to the groups/techpubs/inbox/conferences/factories03 subdirectory (type: cd groups/techpubs/inbox/conferences/factories03)
  5. Use the "put" command to transfer the file into the factories subdirectory from your local directory.
    bulletMake sure the file is transferred in binary mode.
  6. "quit" will end the session ("help" will give other commands)

Use the form to notify the editorial team of your submission to the ftp server.
