Symposium:
Roger Blandford has made groundbreaking contributions in many diverse areas of astrophysics. A hallmark of his career has been his strong emphasis
on keeping his work relevant to the interpretation of observational data and his ability to devise simple models of sometimes highly complex phenomena
that can be applied for this purpose. A one day symposium will summarize the state of the art in the many fields Roger has touched on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
Sponsored by the Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology and the Department of Physics, Stanford University.
