SLAC Campus

All lectures and discussion sessions will be held in Kavli Auditorium (Building 51). SSI badges required. 

Access to SLAC

All visitors are required to show a valid photo ID (e.g. passport, driver's license) in order to enter SLAC. Visitors staying at the Guest House will be issued a guest card to further ease the access check. The SLAC Main Gate is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you are locked out of any building during off hours, you can always to go the main gate guard house, or call (650)-926-2551, to ask security guards to open building doors.

Miscellaneous Information

The Stanford Guest House is located on SLAC site (building #49). It is the first building on the left after turning left from the the guard gate. Parking in front of the Guest House is designated for the registered guests.

Parking at SLAC is in general free for all, except the disabled space and space labelled Government cars only. Another exceptional area is the parking in front of the Guest House is designated for the Guest House registrants only.

SLAC Cafeteria located on the 2nd floor of the new SUSB building (#53) is open for breakfast and lunch on week days. Nearby alternativ and online options are described in the dedicated Lunch page.

There is a cash ATM located at the Stanford Guest House lobby

There are a few dining places very close to SLAC. The Quadrus Cafe in the Quadrus complex across from SLAC is open for lunch on weekdays. The Sharon Heights shopping center (SLAC is just below the map opposite to Saga Ln.) near SLAC is less than a 10min walk and includes restaurants, a gas station, bank, 24 hour Safeway supermarket, deli, bakery, and Starbucks.

If you have a car, then many local dining options are available. Please refer to the restaurant list located in your registration packet for further details.

Printing

For printing files during the workshop, the general instruction for printing from the wireless network can be found at http://www.slac.stanford.edu/comp/service/printing/ with separate instructions for UNIX and Windows. Some selectd printer near the most frequent meeting locations:
