XLDB - Extremely Large Databases

Call for Demonstrations

We no longer accept abstracts for demonstrations - the submission deadline has passed.

We are accepting proposals for demonstrations related to extremely large data management and analysis.

Each accepted demonstration will get a fixed space (a table) during one of the 40 minute poster sessions. We expect to have 4 demo slots available during each poster session.

We strongly encourage technical demonstrations. and strongly discourage sales-type demonstrations.

If you would like to present a demonstration, you will need to submit a proposal prior to July 1st.

All proposals will be reviewed by the XLDB-2012 organizing committee members, and accepted demonstrations will be announced around mid-July.

There is a flat $100 facility fee per demonstration. Should you need some special equipment (e.g., a large monitor), you can either ship it to us prior to the conference, or rent it -- the extra cost depends on your needs, contact us for more information. For those in academic hardship (or under similar constraints), the facility fee may be waived, and you may request this waiver by providing your justification in the comments section of the submission form.

Demo presenters are required to register for the conference (e.g., the registration fee is not waived).

Contact us if you have any questions.
