Driving Directions to SLAC

From San Francisco International Airport (SFO):

1. Exit the airport to take 101 N toward SAN FRANCISCO.
2. Merge onto I-380 W via the ramp- on the left- toward I-280/SAN BRUNO.
3. Merge onto I-280 S via the exit- on the left- toward SAN JOSE. (19.77 miles)
4. Take the SAND HILL RD exit toward MENLO PARK. (0.16 miles)
5. Take the SAND HILL ROAD EAST ramp. (0.29 miles)
6. Merge onto SAND HILL RD. (1.04 miles)

1. Start out going South on AIRPORT BLVD toward AIRPORT EXIT. (1.55 miles)
2. Turn LEFT onto COLEMAN AVE. (0.10 miles)

4. Merge onto I-280 N toward SAN FRANCISCO. (17.94 miles)

Local Restaurants

There are plenty of dinner options in the area.  You can walk to Sharon Heights Shopping Center. 
There is a Safeway, a coffee shop, and a few restaurants.  Downtown Palo Alto and Menlo Park are a short drive away.
Once you park your car, there are many restaurants within walking distance.  Please reference the list of restaurants
in Palo Alto and Menlo Park to find places that interest you.

Accommodations

The Stanford Guest House is a comfortable and convenient housing structure located on SLAC’s campus. Guests have access to in-room, high-speed Internet access, a fitness center, a 24-hour reception desk, laundry facilities, free parking, complimentary tea and coffee, and a 24-hour gift shop.

We have a room block at the Stanford Guest House until 4/26. In order to make reservations, you can either call (650)926-2800, or submit an online reservation request.  If you call, please let them know you are part of the SciDAC meeting.

The "SciDAC" group block code is not recognized by the online reservation system for getting the rates for the conference participants.  Please select SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory instead of Conference Participant on the first screen of the online reservation form.  Please indicate that you are participating in the SciDAC meeting in the Special Requests area of the form. The Guest House will link your reservation with our "SciDAC" group block.

Location on SLAC Campus

The CAC meeting will take place at the Kavli Auditorium at the KIPAC building on the SLAC campus. The auditorium is located on the ground level of the building.
